Anxiety. A word I didn't think of that much when I was younger, yet looking back I had it. Maybe I was running harder then and it didn't feel so big. In any event between dealing with life in my late 40's (you know how that goes if you are a women) and my work with dogs, my lessons have come in a way I'm learning how to really deal with, at a core level, which does include addressing things from way back and then letting them go. Sometimes that means reflection. It's leading me to find peace and love and gratefulness in my life as it is today.
That work also comes from my way with dogs and having worked with many who suffer anxiety. As it turns out running helps. One of the big factors that all dogs need. Movement. When anxiety is involved, LOTS of movement works.
I'll be outrigger paddling today. Bella, my dog in Hawaii retreat dog training will be running. And a lot of other fun things like learning to just sit by the ocean... birds and all!
Today my habit is to focus on all that I have including my home, living in Hawaii, my own dogs, this wonderful dog I have in retreat training, my life partner, my health, outrigger paddling, running with the dogs, and good whole food.
